Many rural schools are not equipped with toilets or basic infrastructure. This situation reduces morale. Building gender-segregated bathrooms has a profound effect on girl’s attendance.
Mr. Thomas Anderson, chair of the board, has been a longtime supporter of the HAF and its participatory development missionsince its very beginning, serving as a Co-Founder of the Foundation back in 2000.

New Projects in Boujdour
In the southern province of Boujdour, HAF created a local association and completed a participatory training and assessment. Stay tuned for more information.
HAF will plant its 1 millionth tree in January. Our fruit tree agriculture initiative improves the livelihood of rural Moroccans, while maintaining an eco-friendly approach to economic growth.
